Your Namibian adventure begins with a warm welcome at Windhoek International Airport, where your dedicated guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Windhoek. After settling in, you have the option to take an engaging 3-hour City & Township Tour, led by a local guide who will share insights into the history and vibrant culture of Namibia’s capital. Today, we leave Windhoek mid-morning, heading southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland Mountains before descending onto the vast plains of the Namib Desert. As the world’s oldest desert, the Namib stretches an incredible 2000 kilometers along Namibia’s west coast, showcasing incredibly varied terrain. Our destination, the Sossusvlei region, is renowned for its enormous dunes and breathtaking photographic opportunities. Upon arrival at our lodge, enjoy a leisurely walk followed by a relaxing sundowner drink as the desert comes alive with color, before a delicious dinner

Prepare for an early start to experience the magic of Sossusvlei. We aim to enter the national park before sunrise, ensuring we are among the first to capture the desert’s beauty in the soft morning light. After reaching the 4×4 carpark, we’ll explore on foot, taking in the stark beauty of Deadvlei and the grandeur of Sossusvlei itself. For the adventurous, there’s the option to hike up Big Daddy, the region’s tallest dune, offering panoramic views of the vast sand sea. By midday, we return, stopping to explore the small but geologically fascinating Sesriem Canyon, an important landmark for local life. The afternoon is yours to rest and relax back at the lodge

Our journey continues today through ever-changing desert landscapes, passing through the picturesque Gaub and Kuiseb passes on our way to Swakopmund. Our first official stop is Solitaire, a vital outpost known for its quirky charm and unique photographic opportunities. From there, we continue to Walvis Bay, Namibia’s main harbor, where we’ll visit the Walvis Bay Lagoon. This RAMSAR listed wetland site is an ornithologist’s paradise, famed as a feeding ground for diverse bird species, including abundant Greater & Lesser Flamingos and the endemic Damara Tern. A short drive then brings us to Swakopmund, our base for the next two nights

Today is a free day for you to explore Swakopmund at your own pace. As Namibia’s adventure capital, Swakopmund offers something for everyone! Choose from exhilarating optional activities like a boat cruise in Walvis Bay (spotting seals and dolphins), sandboarding down dunes, quad biking, or a scenic flight, perhaps even followed by skydiving. For a more relaxed pace, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, visit the local aquarium, or take a scenic flight along the hauntingly beautiful Skeleton Coast. We start early, heading northeast into the rugged beauty of Damaraland. Our route takes us north to Henties Bay, where we can pause to see the Zeila shipwreck, a recent victim of the powerful Benguela current. Turning inland, we traverse vast gravel plains and journey north from Uis, with opportunities to meet the local Himba, Damara, and Herero people who call these areas home. If time permits, we’ll visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage site boasting over 2500 rock etchings – one of the world’s largest collections of ancient petroglyph

After a hearty breakfast, we embark on an unforgettable excursion along the region’s ephemeral rivers, searching for the elusive and remarkable desert-adapted elephants. These incredible creatures have uniquely evolved to survive in this semi-arid environment and are found only in Namibia and Mali. This offers a rare opportunity to witness free-roaming desert elephants in their natural habitat. Beyond the elephants, this unique environment provides breathtaking landscapes, and our local guide will help you capture incredible photographic opportunities. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a guided tour of the Twyfelfontein rock art site if not visited yesterday

Today, we bid farewell to Damaraland and head northeast towards Etosha National Park, widely considered Southern Africa’s premier game park and a true paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. We enter through the Andersson Gate on the southern boundary and begin our exploration of this vast park, which covers 22,270 square kilometers. Etosha gets its name from the enormous salt pan that comprises about 23% of the park. This afternoon, we enjoy our first game drive within Etosha, stopping at popular waterholes before arriving at our lodge. As evening falls, relax by the floodlit waterhole, offering an excellent chance to observe nocturnal creatures as they come to drink

Prepare for a full day dedicated to maximizing your chances for amazing wildlife sightings in Etosha National Park. Starting with an early breakfast, we embark on extensive game drives from waterhole to waterhole, especially during the dry winter months when animals congregate. These waterholes are a unique aspect of Etosha, captivating wildlife photographers and animal behavior experts as predator and prey often drink side-by-side. We traverse the park eastward, passing through Halali and Namutoni, before exiting and arriving at the exclusive Onguma Private Reserve for our final night

After an early breakfast, we embark on our final game drive, exploring the 34,000 hectares of Namibian wilderness that is the Onguma Reserve. This private reserve is home to numerous plains game, over 300 bird species, and even four of the Big 5! Lions and Cheetahs are frequently seen and heard, and there’s a healthy population of black rhino, leopard, and hyena, ensuring exciting final sightings. Following our morning drive, we return to camp, refresh, and then hit the road south towards Windhoek. Our route takes us through Tsumeb, Otavi, and Otjiwarongo before a potential short stop at the Wood Carvers Market in Okahandja, an informal market perfect for finding local crafts and last-minute gifts. We aim to arrive back in Windhoek around 18:00, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation
